King IV TM:
describes information as including "all data, records and knowledge in electronic or any other format, which form part of the intellectual capital used, transformed or produced by the organization."
As such, it is critical to ensure that the databases established and maintained by the CCMA, are managed in a manner which ensures that these records (which are historically, fiscally and legally important) are securely captured, filed, stored, retrieved and destroyed in accordance with the records management policy and prevailing legislative requirements.
The ability to monitor and evaluate information and performance at the relevant level should ultimately be driven by role-based privileges aligned to delegation of authority, real time dashboards and reports need to therefore be designed in a way that limits what users see based on their role and needs ensuring trust, confidentially and security.
